The container terminal of the port of Odessa accepted the first vessel of a new BSM service

In the morning on November 21 at the 2nd berth of the port of Odessa moored a feeder vessel UNI ASSENT of the Evergreen Line Company which left the Greek port Piraeus a week ago. According to the commercial director of SOE “GPK-Ukraine” Igor Yarovenko, the client of the company – “Evergreen Line” – made a decision to open a new regular feeding BSM service (Black Sea Marmara) with weekly vessel call at the GPK-Ukraine terminal. This service will replace participation of the Evergreen Line Company in the joint feeding BSF (UFS) service.

– Unlike the previous feeding service which was served by one vessel calling once in 2 weeks at the terminal (the operator of SOE “GPK-Ukraine”) a new service will be weekly, – reported in directorate of the “BSA Ukraine LTD” company, the agent of the Evergreen Line. – Also, rotation of ports has changed: Novorossiysk (Russia) is excluded from a route, but two Turkish ports – Gebze and Gemlik appeared. As there will be two vessels on the line (the second E.R.HOBART) the number of vessel calls, and, perhaps, amount of container transfer will increase.
