The world’s largest containership the 24,000 teu HMM Algeciras has transited the Suez Canal on her maiden voyage from Asia – Europe.

The vessel was named last month at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) in Korea, and started its maiden voyage in late April from Qingdao, China. Its next port of call will be Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Seatrade Maritime News reported, that shipping company HMM has posted pictures of the 23,964 teu HMM Algeciras transiting the Suez Canal on its website.
